If folk rock is the river, Cass Cwik has been wading in it long enough to know exactly where to jump. The Chicago native made his case with Throop Street Blues - a grassy, unhurried record content to let the songs do the talking. Now he's back with a new band and a wider lens. Cass Cwik and the Skippin' Stones don't abandon the roots but let them breathe, stretching into jangly power pop and new wave territory without ever losing the thread back home. Trevor Joellenbeck is an indie rock artist from Chicago. He might as well just come out and say that he takes inspiration from rock and roll heroes like Warren Zevon, Tom Petty, and Jackson Browne, because you’ll figure it out anyway. Wielding midwest nostalgia and a shifting list of collaborators, Trevor brings us a fresh perspective on electric Americana. He is currently finishing up his first solo record and he has a single out now, Late Afternoon. You can also see him perform as a member of Chicago alt-country bands Toadvine and the Part Timers. J. Moriarty is a 4-piece soft indie rock band based in Columbus, Ohio, made up of 2 Ben’s, an Alex, & a Jamie. Fresh off their debut album, Wind Mtn., Jamie often writes about experiences that he learns & struggles through. Or about his time living in Palestine, Morocco, Oman, & sometimes even writes lyrics in Darija. He also writes about the Mundane and how it can be profound at times; tuning in & noticing that which typically goes unnoticed.
