MDC, originally known as Millions of Dead Cops, is a punk rock band formed in 1979 in Austin, Texas. They are recognized for their politically charged lyrics and fast-paced, hardcore punk sound. Influenced by early punk bands like Dead Kennedys and Black Flag, MDC's music often addresses social and political issues, advocating for anarchism and anti-capitalism. Their sound is defined by aggressive guitar riffs, rapid drumming, and the distinctive vocal delivery of lead singer Dave Dictor.
