Brooklyn-born and driven by soul, Janie May writes songs about what happens after you survive, when you choose yourself and don’t look back. Rooted in pop soul with influences from R&B, blues, alternative and country storytelling, her music explores resilience and empowerment. Janie’s music lives at the intersection of Gloria Gaynor’s unapologetic strength and Amy Winehouse’s emotional vulnerability. Drawing inspiration from artists like Fiona Apple, Lauryn Hill, Adele, and Kaleo, her sound feels both deeply personal and immediately relatable. Her sophomore album, Not Going Back, captures a pivotal emotional threshold: the moment you let go, move forward, and choose yourself. Janie’s music is for those who know what it’s like to take the leap, just as much as it is for those standing at the edge. Dylan Taganas, from Long Island, NY, is a 23-year-old multi-instrumentalist who is currently experimenting with songwriting and making music. He aims to combine elements of genres like classical rock, modern and psychedelic pop, folk, jazz, progressive, and metal into a single centerpiece. The lyrics are personal, introspective thoughts, mainly scattered in the mind of a perfectionist. His work over the years will culminate in the release of his debut album in September. Taganas had been in various bands growing up and had opened for Filipino artists such as Aegis, Pops Fernandez, Sharon Cuneta, Arnel Pineda (the current frontman of Journey), and Bamboo.
