Enjoy a soothing afternoon of up and coming NYC based songwriters to start your week! Sanjana Asha is a singer-songwriter from Atlanta, GA. Although classically trained, she was charmed at an early age by the likes of Norah Jones, Cornershop, and Queen. Her music draws from glimpses of memory, her Indian heritage, and the sounds she grew up with. In this way, it feels nostalgic, ethereal, and intimate. Sanjana’s debut EP, Metamorphosis, reflects the journey of trusting and making sense of one’s inner voice. She has released several singles since and created the Brooklyn-based band Miss Fish with guitarist and co-writer Max Cover. Jakey jakes is a New York City-based singer-songwriter and actor born and raised in Minnesota. Described as “sunshine in the shape of a man,” he delivers a uniquely endearing brightness through his music. With indie-folk, jazz, and pop influences, his sound feels like a honey drizzle atop a pastry fresh out of the oven. He takes his acoustic stylings, smooth vocals and sparkly charm to the stage, playing original songs from his 2023 EP "sandbox," as well as unreleased songs from his upcoming EP. His set asks an audience to “sink into the moment and pause” while remembering the importance of going “out to play.”
