Lineup: Alex Plain, Isabelle Kline, Noah Whiteside, Matthew Harrison Alex Plain and folks invite you to a night of whimsy, feels, joy, sadness, and song, graciously hosted by bar freda. come for musicthat feels like a hug from that friend from high school you wishedyou kept in better touch with, lyrics hand spun from the hearts ofcomplete weirdos, and friendship from a lovely crowd of musicians,artists, and affiliated normies. Come see folks like:alex plain (dat's me) is an emerging pop folk artist and neighborhoodcharacter coming out of the east village. a born-and-raised new yorker,alex learned to see the city anew as a busker, open-mic rat, and (most recently) as a gigging musician. this will be his first (!) headliningset of his career and his mom is very proud. very very nice friends havecompared his sound as a mix of jeff mangum, silver jews, and weezerif you're, like, into those things (which he very much is). he's very excitedto share his staple originals, oldie ballads, and cutting edge new shitwith everyone :)Isabelle Kline is a writer, musician, artist, clown, and American dreamerbased in Ridgewood. She just completed a residency at Oak and Ironperforming her original material, which friends have described as solidly folk and massively affecting; her songs are both soothing like a lullaby and surprising and moving like great poetry. Where does her music come from?Wouldn't she like to know -- maybe you can tell her!Noah Whiteside is a NYC based musician, open-mic mainstay, and accomplishedoriginal singer songwriter spanning folk, rock, and pop. He just put out a brand new single you should take a gander at ;) find 'Nothing//Everything'where ever you stream music!Matthew Harrison is a multi-instrumentalist, singer songwriter, and general all aroundindie-music scene operator from the far north (cough cough albany). Almost closer to a walking folk character than a real person, Matt enjoys parks,vietnamese food, and long walks on the beach. jkjk matt rocks out and bringsa vibrant energy where ever he happens to be, riddled with punchy lyrics, overflowing with catchy tunes, and abounding with expression.
