Join us EVERY SUNDAY for a rotating selection of the best in LA's Jazz Music scene, and stay late for our Sunday residency with Kevin Kanner's Jazz Jam. Musicians who want to jam get in free with an instrument after 9pm (one drink minimum). The Kevin Van Elezen big band will be playing the music of the Gerry Mulligan Concert Jazz Band featuring baritone sax soloist, Tim McKay. Featured arrangements by Bill Holman, Bob Brookmeyer, Johnny Mandel and Al Cohn. **The Kevin van den Elzen Big Band is:** - **Reeds: Kyle Myers, Steven Ragsdale, Frank Fontaine, Caesar Martinez and Tim McKay**- **Trombones: Ivan Malespin, Josh Brown and Paul Nelson**- **Trumpets: Dave Richards, John Reynolds, Kris Berg**- **Double bass: Emiliano Lasansky**- **Drums: Kevin van den Elzen** **Kevin van den Elzen** is an in demand jazz drummer, bandleader and educator originally from the Netherlands. He moved to LA to study with legendary drummer, Peter Erskine, at the University of Southern California Thornton School of Music. He has played with John Clayton, Dick Oatts, Bob Mintzer, Josh Nelson, Nick Mancini, Danny Jonokuchi and many more. He has also worked with the big bands of Dave Slonaker, Clare Fischer, Mike Barone, the Bill Holman band, Dave Richards and Teryn Re. Kevin started the West Coast Jazz Hour interview series and bands together with pianist Josh Nelson.
