the olllam has 16 upcoming shows, next at 3Olympia Theatre on Mon, Oct 5. Dates, venues and tickets on Ckord.
The olllam is a contemporary music group known for blending traditional Irish folk with modern jazz and progressive rock elements. Formed by musicians John McSherry, Tyler Duncan, and Michael Shimmin, the trio draws notable influence from Irish traditional music and artists like Planxty and Lunasa, while incorporating the rhythmic complexity of jazz and rock. Their sound is defined by the use of uilleann pipes, whistles, and a dynamic rhythm section, creating a seamless fusion of genres that respects tradition while exploring new musical territories.
