Showaddywaddy is a British rock and roll band known for their revival of 1950s and 1960s pop music. Originating from Leicester in the early 1970s, the group draws notable influence from classic rock and roll acts like Elvis Presley and Buddy Holly. Their sound is characterized by tight harmonies, energetic rhythms, and a nostalgic flair that combines doo-wop elements with a modern sensibility. Showaddywaddy gained prominence with their covers and original songs, contributing to the rock and roll revival movement in the UK.
