Nine Days is an American rock band from the 1990s best known for their 2000 hit single "Absolutely (Story of a Girl)," which reached the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100. The band's sound blends alternative rock with pop-rock sensibilities, characterized by catchy melodies and introspective lyrics. Their debut album "The Madness of the Crowds" showcased a style influenced by 1980s new wave and contemporary alternative rock. Nine Days achieved mainstream success with their accessible approach to rock music but saw their commercial momentum decline after their initial breakthrough period.
