Four Non Blondes is an American rock band formed in San Francisco in 1989, fronted by vocalist Linda Perry. The group is best known for their 1993 hit single "What's Up?," which became a defining song of 1990s alternative rock. Their sound blends hard rock and funk influences with Perry's distinctive vocal delivery, characterized by powerful, often soaring melodies. The band's self-titled debut album achieved mainstream success, though they disbanded in 1997 before reuniting for occasional performances in later years. Their music exemplifies the post-grunge and alternative rock movement of the early 1990s.
