M.E.B. (formerly Miles Electric Band) is a progressive avant-garde ensemble featuring Miles Davis alumni that revisits repertoire from Davis' electric period. The rotating ensemble represents two generations of players, including Davis' contemporaries and the next generation of musicians, and was assembled by producer and drummer Vince Wilburn Jr. with the intention to expand the boundaries of music while paying homage to the classics. The band has released the album "That You Not Dare to Forget" on Legacy Recordings, featuring new Miles-inspired compositions performed by acclaimed artists including Ron Carter, Marcus Miller, Stanley Clarke, and John Scofield.
