Ed O'brien — artist
Ed O'brien has 3 upcoming shows, next at Teatro Lirico Giorgio Gaber on Tue, Oct 6. Dates, venues and tickets on Ckord.
Ed O'Brien is the guitarist and backing vocalist for Radiohead, the British alternative rock band formed in Oxford in the early 1990s. Known for his innovative approach to electric guitar, O'Brien employs effects-heavy textures, ambient soundscapes, and unconventional playing techniques that have become central to Radiohead's evolving sound across albums like "OK Computer," "Kid A," and "In Rainbows." His influences range from post-punk and new wave to electronic music, and his work is characterized by layered, atmospheric guitar work that often prioritizes mood and texture over traditional rock soloing. Beyond Radiohead, O'Brien has pursued solo projects and production work, maintaining his focus on experimental sound design and electronic-influenced compositions.
