Upstairs is "The Lounge," a relaxed, restaurant-style room that serves excellent food and local craft beer while hosting intimate acoustic sets, rising local bands, and open mic nights. But head downstairs, and you step into the "Music Hall"—a massive, state-of-the-art, tiered performance space. Because the room was acoustically engineered to accommodate live radio broadcasting, the sound quality here is arguably the best in the city. You can stand right on the expansive dance floor or grab a seat in the sweeping mezzanine, ensuring there is literally not a bad sightline in the house.It is a deeply unpretentious, welcoming, and community-focused venue that pulls in a staggeringly eclectic roster of indie rock, soul, folk, funk, and world music artists.Local Tip: You absolutely have to check out their legendary "Free at Noon" concert series! Every Friday, in partnership with WXPN, the venue hosts a completely free, live-broadcasted midday concert featuring incredible national touring acts and beloved local artists. You just have to RSVP in advance online, but tickets go extremely fast—it is easily one of the best free live music experiences in Philadelphia.
