Silence Please — music venue
Silence Please in New York has 8 upcoming shows. Next: First Sundays with OurChess + Family on Sun, Oct 4. Full calendar, lineups and tickets on Ckord.
If you need to escape the constant, chaotic noise of the city and trade it for something incredibly intentional, you must find your way up to the second floor of 132 Bowery. Silence Please is not your typical nightlife venue or coffee shop—it is a stunning, Japanese-inspired modern tea house that doubles as a high-fidelity listening room. The aesthetic is absolute zen perfection, blending Nordic minimalism with warm wooden accents, tatami mats, and a truly jaw-dropping wall of custom-designed speakers. Despite the name, you absolutely do not have to be silent! It operates as an elevated community hub where you can sip on incredible iced hojicha, matcha, and artisan pastries while a live DJ spins an eclectic mix of house and experimental tunes. Whether you are flipping through crates in their adjoining vinyl room, having an intimate catch-up with a friend, or just sinking into a couch to actively listen to the flawless acoustics, it feels like a total retreat from the outside world. If you're looking for a completely unique, audio-focused daytime hangout or an intimate pre-game vibe, this is NYC’s coolest new hidden gem. 🍵🎛️
