🎶 Prospect Park: Celebrate Brooklyn at the BandshellDesigned by Olmsted and Vaux right after they finished Central Park — and considered by many to be their true masterpiece — Prospect Park is Brooklyn’s sprawling 526-acre backyard. Its Long Meadow, lake, ravine, and woodlands draw millions, but for music lovers the magic happens at the Prospect Park Bandshell. The Bandshell is home to BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn!, one of the oldest and most beloved free outdoor concert festivals in the country. All summer it hosts an extraordinary lineup spanning indie, world, jazz, and hip hop — a genuine Brooklyn rite of passage, with the crowd sprawled across the grass under the trees.Local Tip: The free Celebrate Brooklyn! nights draw big crowds — enter near 9th Street, bring a blanket and a picnic, and stake out the lawn early for the headliners. 🌳🎤
