Originally opened in 1998 as a quirky, short-lived music-themed restaurant called "Tödai," it was quickly converted into the fantastic, state-of-the-art live performance space it is today.Operating with a capacity of around 1,700 people, the Grove strikes the perfect balance between the energy of a massive arena and the intimacy of a club. The room is brilliantly designed with a tiered layout, meaning whether you are down on the general admission floor or sitting at one of the VIP cocktail tables in the back, the sightlines to the stage are completely unobstructed. The booking here is incredibly diverse—on any given month, you might catch a world-famous stand-up comedian, a classic rock tribute act, an international pop star, or a family-friendly stage show.Local Tip: Because of its prime location, the surrounding area gets incredibly congested, especially if there is a baseball game happening at Angel Stadium on the same night as your show. Plan to arrive early! The venue has its own dedicated parking lot, but springing for the "Premier Parking" pass ahead of time is highly recommended, as it allows you to park right near the front entrance and significantly speeds up your exit at the end of the night.
