If you think you’ve seen the New York City skyline, wait until you’ve seen it from the water. Whether you are a first-time visitor or a seasoned local looking to play tourist for the day, hopping aboard a Circle Line Sightseeing Cruise is one of those classic NYC bucket-list experiences that absolutely lives up to the hype.Setting sail from Pier 83 in Midtown West, these iconic multi-level boats offer an unmatched, unobstructed vantage point of the city. Forget battling the crowds for a cramped selfie in Battery Park—here, you can grab a beer or a cocktail from the onboard bar, head up to the open-air top deck, and feel the breeze as you glide past the Empire State Building, sail directly underneath the majestic Brooklyn Bridge, and get face-to-face with the Statue of Liberty for the ultimate photo op. The cruises are narrated by incredibly knowledgeable (and usually hilarious) local guides who dish out the history and secrets of the city's architecture as you float by.Local tip: If you want to make the experience truly magical, you have to book their Harbor Lights Cruise. It times perfectly with golden hour, allowing you to watch the sky burn orange behind Lady Liberty before the entire Manhattan skyline lights up against the night sky. Grab a jacket (it always gets windy on the water!), snag a seat on the port side for the best views, and get ready to see the Big Apple from its best angle. 🗽🌊
