Cassette is a popular neighborhood cocktail bar and live entertainment venue located in Ridgewood, Queens. Operating on two distinct levels, the space balances a relaxed cocktail lounge on the street level with a high-energy performance room down below. The Upstairs Bar: A quiet, welcoming spot perfect for grabbing a drink with friends. It features unique house-made cocktails, heated outdoor seating, rotating daily food pop-ups, and vibrant karaoke nights on Wednesdays and Sundays. The Basement Venue: A dynamic, intimate underground performance space with a general admission layout and a well-tuned sound system. It frequently hosts live indie bands, stand-up comedy showcases, DJ nights, and local community gatherings, keeping the audience right up close to the action.A Quick Piece of History: If Cassette feels familiar but the name seems new, it previously operated under the name Sundown. The owners officially rebranded the venue to Cassette in June 2024 to ensure their name accurately reflected the inclusive values of the community they serve.
