Known as "The Jazz Corner of the World," the main club is a historic landmark in New York City’s music scene. Located on the ground level, it features a classic, spacious setting with excellent sightlines, hosting top-tier jazz legends, big bands, and renowned orchestras. It carries the legacy of the original 1949 venue, maintaining a sophisticated atmosphere for serious music fans.  Birdland TheaterOpened in 2018, the Birdland Theater is an intimate, 100-seat venue located on the lower level of the club. It offers a cozy, cabaret-style vibe with a separate bar and stage. While it also hosts jazz performances, its programming is more eclectic, frequently featuring Broadway performers, comedy acts, burlesque, and up-and-coming artists in a "black box" theater environment.  Key Difference: The Jazz Club is the grand, traditional stage for big-name jazz acts, while the Theater provides a closer, more varied performance experience downstairs.
