Blind Man's Sun — live event

In the 90’s, Blind Man’s Sun made a name for itself as one of the most pioneering, adventurous, and downright fun bands to come out of the jam band scene, thanks to a manic live show that successfully combined the theatricality of Queen, the improvisational complexity of Phish, and the raw power of Led Zeppelin with the sophistication of classical and jazz composers. Mixing traditional rock instruments with out-of-left-field sounds including marimba and nylon string guitars made the band’s fans especially devoted: during their short active tenure (1994-1999), BMS sold somewhere in the vicinity of 10,000 albums and played roughly 600 shows, sharing stages with artists ranging from the The Roots to John Scofield to the String Cheese Incident. As headliners, Blind Man’s Sun sold out residencies at beloved clubs like the Elbow Room and Wetlands in NY and clubs like TK and TK in Philadelphia and Boston. But unfortunately, economics and the reality of the road became too much, and the band played their last note together 25 years ago…until now.
