Meyru, Honeysucker — live event

Meyru writes impassioned, guitar-driven songs anchored by melodic hooks and deeply personal lyrics. After self-recording their debut album, Good To See You, the band supported its release with a series of sold-out shows all over New York City, San Francisco, Atlanta, DC, and Charlotte. The album's single She found breakaway success on streaming platforms, allowing Meyru to reach a truly global fanbase. Eager to get back in the studio after over two years of touring and writing, the band teamed up with producer Sam Skinner (Pinegrove) to bring their vision for Meyru's next album Slow Up to life. In contrast to their first record, Meyru and Skinner chose to record each song entirely live with the intention of bringing out the true energy felt in their live shows. Slow Up was released in 2022 to much acclaim. Born from the smokey depths of Brooklyn nightlife, Honeysucker is a sonic manifestation of the raw energy that pulses through the city after-hours. Described by some as “land locked yacht rock” the group offers an eclectic blend of new-wave, indie, R&B, and pop, carrying the echoes of late-night confessions, the wisdom of worn-out barstools, and the allure of neon lights flickering on rain-soaked streets. Poised for an exciting year ahead, Honeysucker is set to unveil a fresh wave of singles, stage captivating performances across the diverse venues, rooftops, and basements of New York, and establish their presence as an integral part of Brooklyn’s vibrant music scene.
