Alto saxophonist Welf Dorr's new recording So Far So Good with Elias Meister on guitar, Dmitry Ishenko on bass & Kenny Wollesen on drums of all original compositions straddles improvised music, fusion and even at times elements of electronica and noise, variegating between lyricism and provocative, outward spiraling solos in a mostly acoustic setting. The group was able to work on this music over months at their weekly gig at The Keep in Brooklyn before they went to the studio in April 2022. Born in 1983 in Munich (Germany) guitarist Elias Meister is based in New York city since 2007. His numerous interests in different styles and ways of expression have led him to perform in a broad variety of musical settings. Kenny Wollesen is an American drummer and percussionist. Wollesen has recorded and toured with Tom Waits, Sean Lennon, Ron Sexsmith, Bill Frisell, Norah Jones, John Lurie, Myra Melford, Steven Bernstein, and John Zorn. He is a founding member of the New Klezmer Trio and a member of the Sex Mob and Himalayas groups
