At the heart of the project is Christopher Cross’s “Sailing,” the album's title track and the creative inspiration behind its breezy yacht rock vibes. Vanessa seamlessly merges bossa nova rhythms with smooth, iconic hits, creating a fresh yet nostalgic sound. Another highlight is her interpretation of Brenda Russell’s “Piano in the Dark,” featuring a duet with Marcelo Lima that adds a unique Brazilian touch to the classic. Produced by Vanessa Falabella, with Marcelo Lima and Guillermo Moane as co-producers, this double album takes listeners on a journey through Southern waters, evoking sunsets and relaxation, with Brazilian groove and elegance defining each arrangement.
