He began in Kansas City and went on to a long tenure with the Delta Queen Steamboat Company as a bandleader and entertainment director, while also performing at venues including Walt Disney World and Harrahs Casino New Orleans. Now based in New Orleans, he tours internationally, leads his New Orleans All-Starsoften featuring Wendell Bruniousand stars in his acclaimed one-man show, Becoming Jelly Roll.Wendell Brunious is a celebrated New Orleans trumpeter, composer, and educator whose lyrical phrasing and warm tone embody the elegance of the citys traditional jazz lineage.
