Laura Wolf • Sophia Corrine • Fleur Guerl — live event

Producer, cellist and singer Laura Wolf picks apart genres and stitches them back together again; on NPR Music’s All Songs Considered, Bob Boilen called her a “classical musician in love with sound manipulations… she learned to master the art of bedroom recording”. The result is her signature off-kilter chamber-pop arrangements packed with delicious sound design. Sometimes saturated with cello, often driven by synths and programmed drums, Laura’s pop-collages always embrace glitchy sound design, orchestral fragments and lighter-than-air vocals. Her live performances, a visual as much as an auditory experience, blend analog, digital and whimsical experimentalism. Sophia Corinne harvests poetry for the lines of each song from her life, one lived paying attention. Her songs are witness to the raw difficulties and layered radiant joys that every heart bears. In both writing and voice, Sophia’s songs offer the companionship of something beautiful for us to hold close in any season. She released her debut EP, The Rim via Ghost Mountain Records at the end of 2021. In the summer of 2022, she toured extensively. Her second EP, Isabel will be released via Ghost Mountain Records in 2023. Sophia Corrine is currently based in Asheville NC. Fleur Geurl, also known as Danielle McConaghy, is a singer-songwriter new to Brooklyn. Her music had been described as having a “soft, atmospheric folk sound,” often joined by cello. ”
