Atlas Engine LA-via-Brooklyn’s Atlas Engine blends elements of shoegaze, psych, and indie rock into their own “expansive universe of sound” (The Wild Honey Pie) full of “cinematic, multipart compositions, hooky and sprawling, with a locked-in rhythm section and butter smooth production”(Look at My Records). Off the heels of their debut full-length, “When the Compass Resets there Can Be No Regrets” (via Favorite Friend Records), a gapless concept album detailing band founder Nick LaFalce’s struggle with Lyme Disease, this is the band’s first show back in Brooklyn since his relocating to Los Angeles. Along with Brendan McGuckin, Katie Glasgow, Patrick Cochrane, and Garrett Hess, the 5-piece has shared the stage with Japanese Breakfast, Nation of Language, and French Cassettes among many others across the US and the UK. Skorts SKORTS emerges as a thrilling anomaly, blending elements of psych, post-disco, and garage glam into a sonic tapestry. Armed with a huge sound and well crafted songs, the SKORTS live show has made many unassuming concert goers into very happy fans.
