FOUND SOUND NATION Presents: ZOSHA WARPEHA + SEAN MEEHAN

FOUND SOUND NATION Presents: Zosha Warpeha + Sean Meehan Grounded in Found Sound Nation’s ethos that encourages the diminishing of boundaries in music-making and music-listening — be they ethnic, cultural, or stylistic — FSN Presents features a diverse curation of artists from our global FSN network. Each concert features an FSN-curated artist who, in turn, invites a guest to share the bill. Each performer will offer an intimate 20-30 min salon style set, inviting audiences to experience a unique, intimate offering of sound and story. This show features composer-performer Zosha Warpeha, who uses bowed string instruments and voice to explore transformations of time and tonality at the intersection of contemporary improvisation and folk traditions. She is joined by Sean Meehan, a drummer who began performing in the late 1980s at the Amica Bunker series for improvised music, located at the Anarchist’s Switchboard (later ABC No Rio) in NYC, and whose work celebrates the act of listening as much as the production of sound, bringing the audience’s attention to both spatial acoustics and social interactions within a space. $20 Pay here in advance or at the door
