Tired Horses, Jack Waugh's Americanaland, The New Approach — live event

Tired Horses is a NYC experimental rock-jazz fusion group. Drawing on a diverse array of influences, from the Krautrock grooves of Can, to the classic 70s era of jazz fusion, to the avant-garde exploration of free improvisation, the band creates their own unique sonic universe. Led by Cameron Criss (also a part of alt-country band ) on guitar, with Mike Talento on tenor sax, Noah Amick on bass, Jack Gruber on keyboards, and Szecso Szendrody on drums, the group is known for their unique live sets centered around open-ended experimentation, strong sense of dynamic group interplay, and radical stylistic shifts. Their first two singles, "G Bus” and “Mechanical” were recorded at Bunker Studio in Williamsburg with John Davis. Emotionally intense and sonically driven, The New Approach performs with the sound and aesthetics of Rock N Roll, while also improvising with the adventurousness nature and ferocity of Jazz. From Brooklyn New York, the four piece strives to both entertain and challenge their audience through unexpected shifting musical landscapes. They are releasing their first EP, The New Version Of Night, on August 10th.
