**Various/Artists** produces handmade records, prints, publications and other editions by artists working across a wide range of media. Since 2024, they have operated a storefront project space at 19 Essex St. in New York Citycurated by Scott Kiernan and directed by Garret Linn, which features monthly exhibitions and free public programs by artists and musicians whose work defies easy categorization. Their current (and 16th) exhibition Too Much Is Better Than Too Little | Alfred Hilsberg, ZickZack & the Invention of the German Underground, curated by Sukhdev Sandhu and produced with Goethe Institute NY, surveys the output and influence of Alfred Hilsburg and Zick Zack Records - an early 1980s label which became a catalyst for a burgeoning world of German post-punk, art rock, minimal synth and DIY experimental music. Past and upcoming programming features the work of many of the artists performing tonight as well as shows by Lary 7, Sara Hornbacher, Damon Zucconi, Shana Moulton, Felix Kubin, Martin Beck, Peter Burr, Sarah Minter, Nina Sobell, Sudden Sway, LoVid, Siebren Versteeg and many more. http://variousartists.nyc/ • **Xeno & Oaklander** are a minimal electronics / synth pop duo (Liz Wendelbo and Sean McBride of Martial Canterel) based in Brooklyn, New York. As artists, they have been deeply involved in the analog synth community since 2004 (the release of their debut Vigils LP on Xanten), and have helped promote and inspire the revival of synth wave in the US and throughout the world through their extensive touring and prolific output. They record their songs and film scores in their Brooklyn studio and are known for their commitment to recording on and performing on analogue synthesizers exclusively. • **MSHR** is an art collective that collaboratively builds and explores sculptural electronic systems. Their performances and installations present cybernetic audiovisual environments as living compositions. MSHR was established in 2011 in Portland, Oregon. Their name is a modular acronym designed to hold varied ideas over time, pronounced as letters or as one who meshes. This show finds them fresh off a west coast tour, presenting the newest crystallization of their evolving series Negative Flower. • **Victoria Keddie** is an artist working with the instability of communication across sound, video, installation, and performance. Her work focuses on how meaning fractures and reconstitutes through noise, gesture, and interference. Her research concerns phonetic dissonance, linguistic instability, and the gestural space around language. For over a decade she co-directed E.S.P. TV, a nomadic television studio for broadcast-based performance. She is a Lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania, where she teaches Listening Beyond Hearing and designed the program's Spatial Sound Lab. She founded and directs the Spatial Sound Union, an international network connecting spatial sound studios, labs, and organizations, in collaboration with Harvestworks. Keddie has performed and exhibited at Fridman Gallery, Pioneer Works, and the Whitney Museum of American Art (US); The Barbican (UK); Museum Angewandte Kunst and Berghain Kantine (DE); and REWIRE (NL). Fellowships include NYSCA/NYFA in Music/Sound (2022), the Max Planck Institute for Empirical Aesthetics (2023), and the Bemis Center Sound Art and Experimental Music Fellowship (2024). In 2025 she was Composer-in-Residence at EMS Stockholm. Her sound work is published by Autopilot Music Publishing and released on Raster Media, Chaikin Records, and Fridman Gallery. Her video work is distributed by Lightcone and The Film-Makers' Cooperative. • Musician, composer, artist, and vibrant collaborator, **Laura Ortman** (White Mountain Apache) creates across multiple platforms, including intricate recorded albums, performances, and artistic soundtracks. She has collaborated with artists such as Tony Conrad, Jock Soto, Raven Chacon, Nanobah Becker, Okkyung Lee, Jeffrey Gibson, Layli Long Soldier, Caroline Monnet, Tanya Lukin Linklater, Kronos Quartet, Martha Colburn, New Red Order, Martin Bisi, Ryan Sawyer, Susan Alcorn, and Loren Connors.
