The Django Reinhardt Festival Allstars 25th Anniversary with Special Guest: Helio Alves — live event

This Jazz is hot, hot, hot! The Django Festival Allstars honor legendary Romani-French guitarist Django Reinhardt and his unique style of 1930s gypsy jazz, also known as “hot jazz.” Guitar, violin, double bass and accordion will get your heart pumping with swinging rhythms, fiery solos and awe-inspiring technical prowess. It’s a family legacy for group leader gypsy Dorado Schmitt, who plays alongside talented sons Samson and Amati and cousins Francko Mehrstein and Gino Roman. Virtuoso Ludovic Beier, who swings like crazy on the accordion and accordina, joins the family. The Django Festival Allstars bring the music to 'today' with their driving rhythms and romantic ballads with new music and some of Django's favorites. It's the 25th Anniversary of the Django Reinhardt Festival at Birdland, a special night and celebration. There will be a Special Jazz Guest each night: 11/5: BRUCE HARRIS / TOP TRUMPET PLAYER 11/6: HELIO ALVES / WELL-KNOWN BRAZILIAN PIANIST 11/7: TATIANA EVE-MARIE / YOUNG SWINGING VOCALIST 11/8: UTE LEMPER / EUROPEAN VOCAL STAR 11/9: LUCY YAGHIAZARYN / AMERICAN ARMENIAN VOCALIST
