Colour of Fire is an alternative rock band from York, England, known for their intense live shows, anthemic songwriting and eclectic sound. Formed in late 2001 by co-songwriters Owen Brinley and Stuart Jones, the band quickly gained national attention after Steve Lamacq played their debut single “Decisions, Decisions” on BBC Radio One. They soon signed to Riverman Records, recorded two sessions at Maida Vale for Mary Anne Hobbs’ Radio One Rock Show, and were named Zane Lowe's "Single of the Week" on XFM. Their second single, “Cut It”, received regular rotation on MTV2, as the band went on to tour extensively across the UK, Europe and Japan. They played over 200 shows together between 2002 and 2005, sharing stages with Placebo, The Libertines, The Bronx, Biffy Clyro, Korn, Idlewild, Sonic Youth, The Kills, The Icarus Line, Silverchair, Sparta and many others.
