ꆳ WEIRD SCIENCE ꆳ Strange, Weird, Obscure. Dance and Non-Dance. A Sunday evening party series created to showcase club adjacent electronic music. Long held at Magick City and LSD Studio but now coming to TV Eye with a focus on live electronics and eclectic DJs. With this iteration Weird Science welcomes: Container - Live Nosedrip - DJ Stallone the Reducer - Live Amourette - DJ Container is the project of American noise veteran Ren Schofield, originally from Providence, Rhode Island, and now based in London. With a slew of LPs, EPs & remixes, Container is known for his joyfully deranged style of scuzzy and bewildering beat music, filled with brutal yet cheeky drum machine punches. Nosedrip aka Ziggy Devriendt, from Belgium, runs the well respected Stroom label. A true digger and a DJ’s DJ, with a wide reaching taste and strong affinity for moody and ‘ugly’ music. Stallone the Reducer is the project of Sam Consiglio, whose affiliation with Detroit’s bizzaro electronic music scene dates back to the early 2000s. He masterfully blends pure, raw and grotesque funk. Amourette is one of the residents and co-creators of Weird Science.
