Internationally acclaimed guitarist, singer/songwriter Chris Bergson brings a soulful, hard groovin' organ trio to Uncle Cheef featuring NYC aces Brian Charette (organ) and Tony Mason (drums.) The trio will perform a mix of classic melodic, groovin' jazz along with Bergson's gritty blend of NY blues and soul. This trio has been playing together for 20+ years and collectively, its members have played with many luminaries across a wide range of genres including John Scofield, Norah Jones, Levon Helm (of The Band), Paul Simon, Joni Mitchell, Bernard Purdie, George Coleman, Charlie Hunter, Hubert Sumlin and Leo Nocentelli (of The Meters.)
