Mary Lee’s Corvette: Blood on the Tracks — live event
Mary Lee's Corvette's first live performance of the full Blood on the Tracks album was recorded on a cassette tape in the sound booth at Arlene’s Grocery, self-released by Mary Lee then picked up by Bar None records. The "record" garnered international acclaim, including 4 stars in Rolling Stone that praised the performance for its "quietly direct magnificence" and proclaimed "the bright bite in Kortes’ voice combines the high mountain sunshine of Dolly Parton with a sweet iron undercoat of Chrissie Hynde". Mary Lee and band will reprise this performance in honor of the 50th anniversary of this most legendary of Bob Dylan's work.
