Aidan Laprete is a singer-songwriter, music producer and actor, originally from Honolulu, Hawaii. Formerly known as Aidan James, he was a YouTube sensation at the age of 8, with over 20+ million views. Laprete has toured around the US, Tahiti, and Asia. He has been featured in publications including ABC News, Good Morning America, and ODDA Magazine. Laprete’s music explores a blend of alternative-pop with elements of singer-songwriter/electronic/garage. In his teen years, Laprete released music under the name Aidan James. With his music and videos receiving millions of views online, he toured internationally, performing in the US, Tahiti and Japan. By age 13, his accolades included performing for 35,000 people at the Pro Bowl, playing songs with Mick Fleetwood, touring with the band Train, writing music for the HBO docuseries “Saving My Tomorrow”, and performing for the prestigious human rights organization The Elders. In 2016, Laprete’s music videos were featured at Good Morning America’s Summer Concert Series in Central Park. After moving to Los Angeles in 2019, he began releasing music under the name Laprete. By age 16, he started producing his own music, as well as being in rooms as a producer and songwriter for other artists. He continues to produce and co-write for other artists.
