Mafalda Minnozzi Quartet — live event on Oct 6, 2026
Mafalda Minnozzi Quartet at The Django, New York on Tue, Oct 6, 11:30 PM. Free entry. Lineup, start time and tickets on Ckord.
Lineup: Mafalda Minnozzi - Vocals Paul Ricci - Guitar Eduardo Belo - Bass Bobby Sanabria - Drums "Meu Rio" is a heartfelt tribute to the city of Rio, where virtuoso vocalist Mafalda Minnozzi launched her noteworthy Brazilian career almost 30 years ago. She has toured there ever since while branching out into festivals and clubs in Latin America, Europe and the USA. Her collaborations with Joao Bosco, Milton Nascimento, Leny Andrade, Guinga, Helio Alves, Roberto Menescal and many others, blazed a trail for her new album RIOFONIC, featured highly in the American JazzWeek radio charts for weeks. Mafalda's style blurs the line between classic song and improvisational adventure with a multi-cultural repertoire and virtuosic voice that inspires both band and audience to feel the sparks. "Minnozzi is boundlessly expressive… connecting to each lyric viscerally, regardless of language … where everything including body language and gesture heightens the emotional impact of her delivery. Minnozzi’s approach to a song is one of a kind." - JazzTimes magazine
