Jas Ratchford — live event
South-East London born Jas Ratchford released her first single, 'Nobody Else to Call,' in September 2018, and has since been honing her sarcastic but heartfelt bedroom pop/folk sound. Her debut EP was released in March 2024 after soundtracking Mark Jones' off-West End play 'A Part of You' at Riverside Studios. The title track 'Seconds' won Song Academy's 'Young Songwriter' competition in the same year before being played on BBC Radio 6 and BBC Radio London. In her latest releases, Jas moves from the bedroom to the living room, lamenting on heartbreak and the horrors of the London job market in her signature humorous style. Jas draws from a wide range of influences including Laura Marling, Clairo, Joni Mitchell and the Staves, and combines folk roots with her love for musical theatre and pop. Jas is a terrible driver and an average clarinetist. She's often found oversharing after a single glass of wine.
