Acceptance: A New Show by Jace McCloy — live event

Acceptance: A New Show by Jace McCloy

Acceptance tells a unique story of life with a blend of pop, musical theater, and original works. Combining his own perspectives with those of Ed Sheeran, Stephen Sondheim, Coldplay, and many others, Jace highlights how trials and tribulations are part of everyone's lives. For him, the Serenity Prayer plays a huge part in finding ways to process and obtain closure from his experiences. Through writing and seeking mentorship, he chooses to remain positive in the face of adversity. Originally from Lansing, Michigan, Jace McCloy is a bass-baritone singer-songwriter. He graduated from Central Michigan University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Vocal Music. After graduating, Jace lived in Chicago for 3 years and made his mark with Chicago Cabaret Professionals. He got his start in Frieda Lee and Mark Burnell's Holiday Cabaret Masterclass at Davenport's in December 2021. He has since performed in Passing the Torch, Red Hour, 100 Years of Disney, and Spoon River. Jace is also the winner of the 2023 Emerging Artists Showcase, where he was awarded the Denise Tomasello Scholarship to fund his debut show, Acceptance. This was a huge success, and Jace is thrilled to bring it back to the place where it all started. He will once again be joined by his stepdad, Jeff English, on piano.
