 Stigmata Presents      Formed in 1996, UK synth-pop/electronic darkwave act Massive Ego emerged from the short-lived New Romantic revival known as Romo, attracting early critical attention with a favourable live review in Melody Maker. Across a three-decade career marked by frequent line-up changes, including members such as Dan Black (The Servant/Planet Funk) and Dean Bright (Dead Or Alive), the band has maintained a strong presence on the European alternative circuit, appearing at festivals including Wave-Gotik-Treffen, M’era Luna, Amphi, Infest, and Whitby Goth Weekend, alongside extensive touring throughout the UK and mainland Europe. Difficult to categorise stylistically, Massive Ego combine confrontational lyricism with a striking visual identity, epitomised by vocalist Marc Massive’s performative aesthetic, earning them a devoted underground following.
