Tommy Peltier + the People, Imaad Wasif's Superconsciousness at 2220 Arts + Archives, Los Angeles on Fri, Nov 13, 8:00 PM. Tickets from $22.46. Lineup, start time and tickets on Ckord.

2220 and Black Editions welcome back Tommy Peltier (vocal & MIDI guitar) with a trio of accompanists featuring Carl Harders (bass), Michael Collins (reeds and flute) and Jude Tedaldi (cello). The wildly productive Imaad Wasif opens what's sure to be an inspired evening. ~ Just east of Hollywood, Tommy Peltier has made sweet music in the Echo Park hills for over sixty years. A jazzman first (notable for his group The Jazz Corps and their album featuring Roland Kirk), he recast himself in 1970, through his close creative and personal friendship with Judee Sill, as an LA troubadour. Imaad Wasif is an LA based singer-songwriter and guitarist with seven solo albums, including this years *Superconsciousness.* Imaad is also a touring member of Yeah Yeah Yeahs and frontman for the L.A. underground slowcore band lowercase. Other projects include alaska!, Folk Implosion, Grim Tower (with Stephen McBean from Black Mountain) and writing songs with Karen O for the soundtrack of Spike Jonze’s *Where the Wild Things Are*.
