Described as “Mesmerizing, intricate, anthemic” and "one of New York’s most eclectic, interesting oudists” (NY Music Daily), oud player and composer Brian Prunka has performed nationally and internationally with both his own groups (Bil Afrah Project, Nashaz, Sharq Attack) and with artists including Simon Shaheen, the New York Arabic Orchestra, and Matt Darriau. Joining him for this birthday show are some of his favorite collaborators: Sharq Attack members Marandi Hostetter (violin), John Murchison (qanun), and Simon Moushabeck (percussion), as well as Sarah Mueller (violin), Eric Allen (cello), Gideon Forbes (nay/sax), and some surprise guests.
