In a world constructed of CRT TV’s, **Hot Kitchen** relies on VHS tapes to explore what lies beyond, and within. Their live performance becomes a signal… a prophecy… lost in the ether, waiting to be found. Can you feel it? That feeling? That knowing? It’s inside you, too. Allow yourself to relax. To receive. This show was made for you. Directed by Jiana Nicole Created and performed by Kaylyn Carter, Carol Crosby, Alex Hovi, Eddie Miller, Jiana Nicole and Colleen Rose Trundy *Hot Kitchen is a Chicago based performance collective formed in 2016 rooted in a collaborative theater making process. Our work usually begins with an image, a phrase, a piece of pop culture, or other idea. Through a process of generating, regenerating, regurgitating and repeating, we arrive at a performance once it feels just right. We’ve premiered work at Steppenwolf’s LookOut Series, HighConcept Labs, basements, garages and other various spaces across Chicago. Our annual variety show, 13 Love Songs, had its 11th year at the Chicago Athletic Association in April 2026. @hotkitchencollective*
