Wooden Jelly Spoon & Peanut — live event
Wooden Jelly Spoon & Peanut (WJSP) started in February 2019 as a college band at Colby College in Waterville, Maine. For three years, the band played an eclectic mix of folk, bluegrass, rock, and Irish drinking songs at various locations across the Pine Tree State. In 2021, WJSP's core members graduated from Colby and the band wrapped up its tenure on Colby's campus. Since then, the members of WJSP get together a couple times each year to check in with each other, play some old favorite tunes, and have a grand ol' time! Recently, the band has been working on a lot of new original content, and has spent a lot of time in NYC. The last big performance was this year's Porch Stomp--the annual folk & bluegrass festival hosted on Governors Island in June. Tonight's show at Rockwood will be a special one! The three original founding members of WJSP are performing together for the first time since 2021! So come on down, grab a pint, and celebrate the weekend with us!
