Nick Cassarino has always believed in the healing power of music. Growing up, he was deeply influenced by iconic artists such as James Taylor, Joni Mitchell, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Steely Dan, Bob Marley, and Earth, Wind & Fire. These early inspirations helped shape his musical identity and passion.During high school, Nick immersed himself in jazz studies, quickly developing his voice as a guitarist and bandleader. He began performing at premier venues in Burlington, Vermont, with his own group, The Nicholas Cassarino Ensemble.At 22, Nick moved to New York City to pursue music full-time. There, he honed his craft in gospel churches and jazz clubs, deepening his versatility and musical expression. He soon joined the 10-piece hip-hop collective Lifted Crew, which went on to become the touring band for legendary artists Slick Rick and Big Daddy Kane.In 2013, Nick co-founded the electric church/soul-rock project The Nth Power in New Orleans. The group has since released multiple records and continues to tour internationally, earning a reputation for their powerful live performances and genre-blending sound.In 2018, he began collaborating with singer and trumpet player Jennifer Hartswick, alongside acclaimed bassist Christian McBride. Together, they have written, recorded, and toured extensively around the world.Throughout his career, Nick has performed with an impressive roster of renowned artists, including Babyface, John Mayer, Toni Braxton, Stephen Marley, Melissa Etheridge, Nicole Scherzinger, Take 6, Lalah Hathaway, Leslie Odom Jr., Koffee, Ella Mai, Talib Kweli, Ivan Neville, Cyril Neville, Jimmy Herring, Trey Anastasio, Oteil Burbridge, Eric Gales, Cory Henry, and Nicholas Payton.
