Bird

Janie Price aka “BIRD” is an award winning half Irish/English singer-songwriter. She started her classical music training on cello aged 6 and learnt drums from age 11. At 18 she started her professional career as a session musician playing for the likes of Emeli Sande, Roachford and Vanessa Mae. As a songwriter she’s written and collaborated with many household names including Andy Dunlop (Travis), James Dean Bradfield (Manic Street Preachers), Ally McErlaine (Texas), John Paul White (The Civil Wars) and Charlie Sexton (Bob Dylan) and had numerous platinum and gold hits. She’s also an award winning short film maker. Recent acclaim for Bird: “Bird’s storytelling captures the full gamut of duality, vulnerability and resilience. The final two tracks offer up alternative versions of the old Smiths’ classic ‘How Soon Is Now’, showing the diversity of Birds’ influences, however it is her own material that stands out here, in particular the aforementioned ‘Roy’, which is without doubt one of the best songs of 2025 so far.’’ AMERICANA UK “Beautifully written, masterfully arranged, and delivered with poetic finesse, ‘Sunny Days’ is a standout release from a singular artist. Utterly gorgeous.” RECORD OF THE DAY "Bird's "Daddy" is not mere melody; it is an excavation, a sonic archaeology of the human heart, laid bare with a vulnerability that is both breathtaking and profoundly moving. In a world saturated with fleeting trends and manufactured emotions, Bird offers something truly rare: authenticity. And in "Daddy," she delivers it with a power that is both undeniable and unforgettable. This release, and the upcoming EP, are set to be milestones in an already impressive career" - Jamsphere
