Liquid J's splash! imprint returns in full force to the one and only Bossa Nova Civic Club in pure psychedelic fashion. Gracing the booth for the duo's second ever live set and following the release of their sophomore release, "Colada Talk," Crespi Drum Syndicate - the brainchild of Miami titans Jonny from Space & Pablo Arrangoiz (DJ Fitness) take the vortex for a spin. The course is Drum Theory and these two are masters of the art, having amalgamated the schools of thought of Lee "Scratch" Perry, German micro-house, and midwest American distortion through a whirlwind of rhythms that almost seem to fight one another to reach the end of the speakers. The result is unlike anything anyone has ever heard. Closing the night, Kiernan Laveaux will deliver time again as she only knows how: fearless and boundary pushing DJing that'll make you consider selling your turntables and trying a new hobby. Her crates don't run deep, they run WILD. Coupled with a "fuck you" attitude towards the booth with surreal technicality, Laveaux is living testament to the idea of knowing the rules before you break them. splash!'s very own DJ Relax (Liquid J) sets the play in motion early on.
