Catty came together in 2019 by stroke of luck or cosmic intervention, when Ana Becker (Fruit & Flowers, Habibi) and Manny Nomikos (Ilithios) were matched up in a band lottery. Joined by drummer Rosie Slater (New Myths, THICK) and guitarist Jeff Berner (Shilpa Ray, Psychic TV), the powerhouse four-piece has been electrifying NY stages with an explosive rhythm section, driving danceable grooves, masterful guitar work, infectiously catchy melodies, and as many harmonies as humanly possible. CATTY has been described as a "post-punk Fleetwood Mac" by fans, and a "post-punk Fleetwood Mac" by haters. After a decade spent fronting Late Slip, Chelsea Nenni is ready to take on the world as herself. She emerges fearlessly with a handful of songs, set to become her first solo album, written on a steady diet of the Shangri-Las and Nancy Sinatra. Dubbed by Nick Waterhouse as “the female Roy Orbison,” Nenni has a way with words and a voice to captivate even the coldest of hearts.
