Eliana Glass, Barry Johnson, Diego Gaeta + V Ontiveros, STAT — live event

2220 is excited to host a visit from New York vocalist and pianist Eliana Glass, celebrating the release of her remarkable album E, just out on Shelter Press. An awesome collection evoking great spirits such as Jeanne Lee, Emahoy Tsegué-Maryam Guèbrou and Patty Waters, it's one of the best things we've heard in 2025. To welcome Eliana to LA, we've invited some of our favorite musicians in the city to play the night, starting with the duo of Diego Gaeta and V Ontiveros. Diego is one of LA's most sought-after pianists, working with Lionmilk, The Pan Afrikan Peoples Arkestra, Carlos Niño, Black Nile among others. His latest collaborations with his partner, singer V Ontiveros, bring a warmth and deep lyrical spirit to each room or field they perform in. Barry Johnson is a great troubadour and fingerstyle guitarist, whose latest album on VDSQ, Fortune's Mirror, was one of the highlights of last year. Closing out the night will be the fantastic quartet of STAT – the three vocalists of Salenta, Tamina and Aankha, plus cellist Topu. Building out harmonies from the half-decade collaboration of Salenta + Topu to include two of the most dynamic singers in the city, Aankha Neal and Tamina Johnson-Lawson, it will be a spiritually uplifting finale to a wonderful night.
