SNOT is an American punk band from Santa Barbara, California, originally formed in 1995. Known for blending punk rock, hardcore, and funk influences, featured Lynn Strait as the charismatic lead vocalist, along with the lead guitarist Mikey Doling, bassist John Fahnestock, drummer Jamie Miller, and, later, Sonny Mayo on guitar. SNOT brought an edgy, high-energy sound with a funk and groovy, unique twist to the late '90s music scene. The first full-length album, ”Get Some”, released in 1997 from Geffen Records, became iconic for its aggressive and impulsive sound and Strait's raw, confrontational lyrics. The album received praise for its energy and distinctive fusion of punk, metal, and funk elements, positioning SNOT as part of the emerging nu-metal scene, alongside bands like Korn, Limp Bizkit, System Of A Down, and Slipknot, with whom they often shared the stage.
