This is not a World Music Festival. This is PHRE. PHRE Festival presents Gaitas y Tambores de San Jacinto and Pixvae for a night where Colombian musical traditions meet raw, contemporary live energy. Gaitas y Tambores de San Jacinto bring the sound of Colombia’s Caribbean coast through gaita flutes, drums, voices and rhythms rooted in cumbia and traditional Afro-Indigenous musical forms. Their music carries the pulse of celebration, ritual and oral tradition, connecting ancestral sound with the energy of a live gathering. Pixvae are a Franco-Colombian ensemble known for their explosive fusion of Afro-Colombian currulao and noise rock. Their sound is compact, powerful and physically intense, combining traditional rhythmic structures with the freedom and force of the modern underground.
